The degree of outward rotation was measured at approximately the 6' point at the chimney. At this point, the chimney was rotated away 1.5" indicating the chimney was out of plumb by 1/4" per foot. At over 17' tall, the chimney would have been out of plumb at the top by nearly 5".

Chimney Stabilization in Cody, WY

YSS was contacted by the homeowner who was concerned about settlement of the chimney. The settlement was causing the chimney to rotate away from the home causing roof, soffit, and fascia damage. YSS installed a helical pier to bedrock, fit the bracket to the chimney foundation and raised the foundation back to plumb. The project was completed in about 3 hours.
